Top Ten Books I Want my Future Children to Read

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)Long Way Down

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: If this isn't on your list, you're doing life wrong. (Ok so not really, but still lol)

2.  Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds: I am NOT a fan of verrsee novels, but this one changed me completely. Hopefully my kids will like it just as much!

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #1)

3. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan: I fell in love with mythology after reading this one. Ever since I have wanted to know and read everything I can about mythology.

4. Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan: Refere to #3.

Dear MartinThe Hate U Give

5. Dear Martin by Nic Stone: I don't like that I have to do it, but this is a VERY neccessary conversation that I will have to have with my children. And since Nic Stone did it so much better than me, I will most def push this into their hands!

6. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: Refer to #5 and change Nic Stone to Angie Thomas.

Into WhiteBad Romance

7. Into White by Randi Pink: I will hand them this to teach them to love the skin they're in.

8. Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios: I need her/him to know what to look for. I really want them to know that they can come to me for anything and if they ever find themselves in this situation, I want them to know I will ALWAYS take their side.

The Names They Gave UsGoodnight Moon

9. The Names they Gave Us by Emery Lord: I want them to be their own person and make their own choices and that is fine by me.

10. Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown: Literally the very first book I ever learned to read by myself.  I fell for this so long ago and I am positive that my kid will too!
